What is level B1.3 / Vielfalt B1+?
Level B1.3 constitutes the final and most advanced phase of level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This course serves as a strategic bridge to level B2, preparing students to communicate with greater fluency, precision, and linguistic complexity.
Unlike the first sublevels of B1, B1.3 incorporates more sophisticated grammatical structures (Konjunktiv II, complex sentences, nominalizations), specialized vocabulary, and longer authentic texts (600-700 words).
Students develop skills in structured argumentation and critical thinking, approaching B2-level competencies.
🎧 Listening Comprehension
Understand the main points when clear standard language is used and familiar matters from work, school, leisure, etc. are discussed.
Understand the main point of many radio or television programs on current affairs or topics of personal or professional interest when the delivery is relatively slow and clear.
Follow longer conversations when the topic is familiar and the course of discussion is clear.
Approaching B2: Understand most television news broadcasts and current affairs reports.
📖 Reading Comprehension
Understand texts that consist mainly of high-frequency everyday or job-related language.
Understand the description of events, feelings, and wishes in personal letters.
Understand longer authentic texts (600-700 words) with complex structures.
Approaching B2: Read and understand articles and reports about contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints.
🗣️ Speaking and Interaction
Communicate relatively spontaneously and participate in conversations dealing with topics of personal interest or pertaining to everyday life (e.g., family, hobbies, work, travel, and current events).
Connect phrases in a simple way to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions.
Briefly explain and justify opinions and plans.
Narrate a story or tale, recount the plot of a book or film, and describe reactions.
Approaching B2: Communicate with sufficient fluency to make normal conversation with native speakers possible without undue effort.
✍️ Written Production
Write simple connected texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
Write personal letters and emails describing experiences and impressions.
Write simple argumentative texts expressing opinions with justifications.
Approaching B2: Write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects related to personal interests.
Our online German courses use a communicative approach that integrates the development of four language skills: oral expression, listening comprehension, reading and writing. The program is structured to prepare students for both social settings and professional life.
