Our extensive online German courses are designed for those who want to learn German at their own pace without compromising on quality. With one live session per week (2.5 hours) led by highly qualified teachers, this format is perfect for balancing language learning with work or other commitments.

We offer all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference, from A1 (beginners) to C1 (advanced). Each course includes access to our learning platform with interactive exercises, personalised tutoring, recordings of all sessions, and a certificate upon completion. Small groups (max. 16 participants) ensure individual attention and real communicative practice.

As an official ÖSD examination centre, you can take your international German exam directly with us upon completing your extensive course — a unique advantage in Argentina and Latin America.

Frequently asked questions about our extensive courses

How long does an extensive German course last?

Each level of the extensive course lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 months, with one live session per week (2.5 hours). We also recommend dedicating about 2 additional hours per week to exercises and self-study on the virtual platform.

Do I need prior knowledge to get started?

No. Our A1.1 level is designed for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of German. If you already have some experience with the language, you can take our free online placement test to find the right level for you.

What is the difference between an extensive and an intensive course?

The extensive course has 1 session per week and lasts ~3 months per level, ideal for those who work or study. The intensive course has up to 3 sessions per week and lasts ~6 weeks, perfect for those who need to progress quickly (e.g. for a visa or to start studies in Germany or Austria).

What materials do I need for the course?

We use the textbooks Menschen (levels A1–A2) and Vielfalt (levels B1+) by Hueber Verlag, available in both digital and print formats. Visit our books and materials page for details and purchase links.

Can I take an international exam after completing the course?

Yes. Sprachzentrum Buenos Aires is an official ÖSD examination centre. You can register for ÖSD exams from A1 to C2 directly with us, even if you are not a student at our institute. Check the upcoming exam dates on our website.
