What are the international ÖSD German exams?

ÖSD (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch) is a system of official German exams as a foreign and second language, and is a certified examination organization in accordance with ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) standards, just like telc and Goethe.

The ÖSD exams constitute an internationally valid accreditation of German language knowledge. The examination foundations, developed according to the strictest quality criteria, are designed according to the criteria established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and guarantee a professional and objective evaluation of language knowledge.

The ÖSD exams are designed in a pluricentric way and therefore allow preparation for the linguistic reality of Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. They mainly evaluate the communicative ability to act in real everyday situations.
